For young students and researchers, opportunities to present their works in a formal academic setting are always challenging and memorable. Aiming at providing such opportunities to those Vietnamese, Japanese and other international students, the Vietnamese and Japanese Students' Scientific Exchange Conference (VJSE) has attracted the attention and contributions of many students and academicians since 2004. Besides the rewarding academic perspective, the VJSE has proved to be an attractive circumstance for cultural exchange and friendship promotion among international students.

Successfully organized in Osaka and Kobe in previous years, this year the Conference will be held in Kyoto University, one of the most renowned universities of Japan, on November 15-16, 2008. We, the organizers, greatly appreciate the participation of distinguished professors in the academic boards, Vietnamese, Japanese, and other international students and researchers from different laboratories of universities and companies.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we warmly welcome you to attend VJSE 2008. We sincerely do believe that your joining us will make this event successful, enjoyable and memorable.  What you have to do is only to register, and tell us whether you are going to present your research paper by submitting the abstract of your paper. No participation fee is required.
